These protein balls are quite similar to the Chocolate Coconut Protein Bars recipe I posted recently, so if you have the same ingredients from those you can get started on these and see which you prefer! They’re so easy, I whipped up a batch this evening after work while filming the reel for Instagram at the same time and it really took no length.
50g oats (blitzed to form a flour consistency)
1 tbsp cacao powder
30g (x1 scoop) chocolate protein powder
4 tbsp peanut butter
2 tbsp honey
20g dark chocolate (chopped)
Desiccated coconut to sprinkle on top
Dash of milk if the consistency is too dry
- Mix the oats, cacao powder, protein powder and chopped chocolate.
- Melt the honey and peanut butter in a saucepan until runny.
- Stir the honey and peanut butter into the dry ingredients. Use your hand to knead it and bring it together. Depending on the type of protein powder you used you might need to add a dash of milk here to help to bind it together.
- Roll into balls and toss these in the desiccated coconut. Leave to set in the fridge.
